Senior Citizens – Have you considered buying your prescription meds in Mexico?
I quit going to doctors about 15 years ago, but I do take a couple of prescription medications daily. Blood pressure med and prilosec. And I like to keep some tetracycline and ampicillin on the shelf, just in case.

I find it’s all about 25 percent of the US price in El Paso, or Las Palomas.

It’s not that far for me, so I trip down every year or 18 months and stock up.

For those near enough to the International Boundary, have you tried it?

You better watch what you bring.
You could be jailed for transporting narcotics.

I am not close but I send a list and cash to a friend each year and she goes and gets them for me–no scrip needed as long as you are not going for a narcotic or a pain med. I get my psoriasis meds there and ones for my little grandson and his eczyema. Same meds we get here and my antibiotics are usually 20 dollars for a hundred 500mg caps. Pretty funny!! my last trip to a doc was in 1992.

I’m fortunate in that the VA handles my meds (thank you american taxpayer) but if I had to I would probably search for the most inexpensive where ever they came from. When I lived close to the border I knew that Mexican pharmacies had a large cross border business.
