PostHeaderIcon How to Make a Sundial

A few months ago, my friend Lucas and I had to make a video in our 8th grade science class demonstrating how to make a sundial. Our work took several hours in total and was a great success.

It is much harder than it looks, you should try it yourself and post a video response. :)
Sorry that there was no music, we weren’t supposed to put in any.

you should research it a bit before you try something like this, because if you want your sundial to be circular, then it has to be equatorial, and i doubt your house is built at the perfect angle to be parralel to both poles ;)

    Sorry about that. :(

This is the first time that I have ever made, though it may not be perfectly accurate it was only off by a few minutes, and I got an A+ on it. :)

    Soory to say that …
Soory to say that your sundial isn’t accurate. It’s just wrong, even if the video is cool. To build an accurate horizontal sundial, you need to know the latitude of your place, and to read precisely legal time, you need to know you longitude, and equation of time (check it on wikipedia).
